My Chihuahua suffered from a collapsing trachea. During the final stages, I ordered the oxygen chamber and concentrator bundle to help make her more comfortable and hopefully extend her life. The equipment arrived on a Saturday. I set it up immediately, and everything seemed to be working. I placed my dog inside, and while she seemed okay at first, I couldn’t tell whether the oxygen was truly helping. I started with short sessions of about 10 minutes and gradually increased the time. That night turned into a nightmare. I left her in the chamber for about 30 minutes and when I checked on her, she didn’t look right. When I opened the chamber, I realized it was hot inside—there was no proper air circulation, and I could feel the trapped heat. My heart sank. The next day I confirmed that the chamber was heating up during use. Because it was the weekend, I couldn’t reach anyone for help—the company has no after-hours or emergency support. When I finally spoke with them on Monday, they suggested adding ice to the chamber to help with the heat, but by then it was too late. They did refund me for the equipment (though not the expedited shipping). But this isn’t about the money. What haunts me is the thought of my baby being hot and uncomfortable inside that chamber while I believed it was helping her. If I could go back in time, I would never have made the purchase. I would have focused instead on making her final days peaceful, not on trying to prolong them with something that caused her discomfort. This product did not perform as promised, and I regret trusting it (based on reviews). I don't want to discourage from helping a pet, but the heat inside the chamber needs to be addressed and something should be done to fix this problem ASAP so another dog is not left inside with heat and no air circulating.
