When to use it

ReadyRESCUE™ works for a wide range of toxins

If your pet eats something dangerous, ReadyRESCUE™ intercepts and absorbs the toxin before it can be absorbed by the body — acting as a first line of defense before you can reach a vet. When in doubt, it is always safe to give. Below are the most common situations pet owners reach for it.

Chocolate ingestion

Grapes or raisins

Human medications

Recreational drugs or THC

Toxic houseplants

Xylitol (sugar-free products)

Rat or rodent poison

Unknown substance ingested

On-the-go or outdoor exposures

Any suspected poisoning

Always contact your veterinarian or a pet poison control center immediately after administering ReadyRESCUE™, even if your pet appears fine.

In an emergency, act fast.

How to give ReadyRESCUE™ to your pet.

If you think your pet ate something dangerous, don't wait for symptoms to appear — symptoms mean the toxin is already being absorbed. Follow these steps immediately.
1

Check your pet's weight.

Your pet's weight determines the dose. If you don't know the exact weight, use your best estimate — it's always better to give ReadyRESCUE™ than to wait. See the dosage table below.

2

Mix it into something tasty.

Pour the correct amount into a small portion of wet food, water, peanut butter, yogurt, or any treat your pet loves. Stir until well blended. The goal is to get the full dose consumed quickly — use whatever your pet will eat fastest.

3

Make sure they eat all of it.

Watch your pet consume the entire dose. Do not split it across multiple meals or delay. ReadyRESCUE™ needs to be in the GI tract before the toxin is absorbed — timing is everything.

4

Call your vet immediately.

Even after giving ReadyRESCUE™, contact your veterinarian or a pet poison control center right away. Tell them what your pet ingested, how much, when it happened, and that you have already administered ReadyRESCUE™. Bring that information with you if you go in.

Dosage by weight

When in doubt, it is always safe to give — ReadyRESCUE™ passes through the GI tract harmlessly if no toxin is present.

Pet Weight Dose
15 lbs or under ½ vial
16–30 lbs 1 vial
31–60 lbs 2 vials
61–90 lbs 3 vials
91 lbs and over 5 vials

Do not give ReadyRESCUE™ at the same time as a vomiting-inducing agent or while your pet is actively vomiting. If vomiting has occurred, wait 30 to 60 minutes after it stops before administering. Always follow your veterinarian's guidance.

Got questions?

Everything you need to know about ReadyRESCUE™

If your pet just ate something dangerous, act first and read later — mix and administer immediately, then call your vet. These questions are for everything else.
ReadyRESCUE™ is a veterinary-grade activated charcoal detoxifier for dogs and cats, formulated using 99.9% pure activated carbon spheres. When your pet ingests a toxin, ReadyRESCUE™ binds to it in the GI tract and prevents it from being absorbed into the bloodstream. It was developed by a board-certified veterinary surgeon and reviewed by specialists in emergency and critical care, pharmacology, toxicology, and internal medicine.
Use it immediately if you suspect your pet has ingested a potentially toxic substance — chocolate, grapes, raisins, xylitol, human medications, recreational drugs, toxic houseplants, rodent poison, or any unknown substance. The sooner it is administered after ingestion, the more effectively it can intercept the toxin. When in doubt, it is always safe to give — if no toxin was ingested, it simply passes through the GI tract harmlessly.
Identify your pet's weight, then measure the correct dose: half a vial for pets 15 lbs or under, one full vial for pets 16–30 lbs. Mix the contents into a small amount of pet food, water, peanut butter, yogurt, or another favorite treat. Make sure your pet consumes the entire dose. After administering, contact your veterinarian immediately with details about what was ingested, the amount, and the time of ingestion.
Yes. ReadyRESCUE™ is safe to administer even if poisoning is not confirmed. If no toxin is present, it passes through the GI tract intact without causing any harm. It is safe at up to four times the normal dose, though above that threshold your pet may experience mild gastrointestinal upset. There are no expected adverse effects at the recommended dose.
ReadyRESCUE™ works on a broad spectrum of organic toxins including chocolate, grapes and raisins, xylitol, human medications, recreational drugs and THC, toxic houseplants, and rodent poisons. It provides five times the absorptive power by volume compared to other activated charcoals used by veterinary professionals, and has been tested against common intoxicants and found equally effective to Toxiban, the most commonly used in-hospital activated charcoal.
ReadyRESCUE™ is not effective against all toxic substances. It should not be given at the same time as an emetic (a vomiting-inducing agent) or while your pet is actively vomiting — wait 30 to 60 minutes after vomiting stops before administering. It should also not be given immediately before other therapeutic agents, as it may absorb those as well. Always contact your veterinarian for guidance specific to your situation.
ReadyRESCUE™ begins binding toxins immediately upon contact in the GI tract. Because it works before symptoms appear, it can be difficult to observe its effect directly — the goal is to prevent absorption, not to reverse symptoms that have already started. If your pet does not develop signs of toxicity after administration, the intervention was likely successful. That said, always follow up with your veterinarian regardless of how your pet appears.
No. ReadyRESCUE™ is a first-line bridge treatment — it is designed to give you something effective to do immediately while you get your pet to professional care. Always contact your veterinarian or a pet poison control center after administering, even if your pet seems fine. Bring details about what was ingested, how much, and when, along with the time and dose of ReadyRESCUE™ given.
Why it works

The emergency tool every pet owner should have on hand

Most pet poisonings happen at home, without warning. ReadyRESCUE™ gives you something powerful to do immediately — before symptoms start, before you reach the vet, and before the toxin has a chance to be absorbed.

Acts before symptoms appear

Toxins cause damage once they're absorbed into the bloodstream. ReadyRESCUE™ binds to them in the GI tract before that happens — which means the window to give it is right after ingestion, not after your pet starts acting sick.

🔬

Veterinary-grade formula, no prescription needed

Developed by a board-certified veterinary surgeon and reviewed by specialists in emergency care, pharmacology, and toxicology. It delivers 5x the absorptive power by volume of other activated charcoals — without requiring a vet visit to obtain.

Safe even when you're not sure

If your pet ate something and you're not certain it was toxic, give it anyway. ReadyRESCUE™ passes harmlessly through the GI tract if no toxin is present. There is no penalty for acting out of caution — and potentially a life saved if you're right.

📦

Ready to use in seconds

Mix it into food, water, peanut butter, or yogurt — whatever your pet will eat fastest. No special equipment, no preparation, no waiting. One 30g glass vial treats pets up to 30 lbs and has a five-year shelf life, so it is always ready when you need it.

What happens if you wait?

Once a toxin is absorbed into the bloodstream, treatment becomes significantly more difficult, more expensive, and less certain. Emergency veterinary care for poisoning can run into the hundreds or thousands of dollars — and that's assuming you get there in time. ReadyRESCUE™ is a one-time purchase that gives you an immediate first line of defense, every time.
