I have put my Chihuahua in it several times. A few times just to get her use to it, and a few times because I thought she could use some O2 due to humidity and heat. Worked well. She isn't afraid to be in O2 cage at all. Like the extra long tubing allowing me to take her on the couch with me. Nice to have this at home in case she needs it. Gives me peace of mind that I am able to give her O2 if needed. Of course if she is real distress I will take her to the Vet,I also have the portable O2 setup on hand to transfer her to Vet. Would recommend this company and it's products. Any questions I had were answered .promptly

Peace of mind

I found the order process to be easy as you simply provide your veterinarians name and they call them to get the prescription..no miscommunication.
The set up instructions were easy to follow. We made this purchase after 3 trips to the emergency vet and decided the stress of those visits on our beloved mini schnauzer was making her condition (CHF) worse.
We just used it for the first time and the sense of relief it gave us in terms of how quickly we were able to start treatment at home and the stress reduction for our dog is immeasurable. We were able to take her out multiple times as her stress level went up..and that’s what gave us the greatest peace of mind..having the ability to reduce her stress. At the ER they had to sedate her to keep her in there.
I highly recommend this product to anyone with an animal that requires oxygen. The peace of mind and cost savings by not having to visit the ER are well worth the costs of the unit.

Do I need a prescription for this product?

Yes, we require a prescription for this oxygen source. Once your order is placed we'll reach out to you to collect your vet's information or prescription information so that your order can ship.

Orders ship out as soon as we receive and validate your prescription, typically 24-48 hours after your place your order.

Is this Oxygen Concentrator medical-grade?

Yes, Pawprint Oxygen sells medical-grade, continuous flow Oxygen Concentrators that support a safe environment for your pet during oxygen therapy. We have two models:

PureVent 5L Oxygen Concentrator: This model has a maximum flow rate of 5 liters per minute, which is required for the Small and Medium Oxygen Cages.
PureVent 10L Oxygen Concentrator: This model has a maximum flow rate of 10 liters per minute, which is required for the Large Oxygen Cage.

What kind of Oxygen Concentrator do I need for the Oxygen Cage?

In order to achieve safe levels of oxygen, carbon dioxide, heat, and humidity inside your Oxygen Chamber, you need to supply it with a continuous flow, medical-grade Oxygen Concentrator. Your Oxygen Concentrator needs to be able to produce >90% oxygen at flow rates from 5 to 10 liters per minute.

The Small and Medium Oxygen Cages require a flow rate of at least 5 liters per minute. The Large Oxygen Cage requires a flow rate of 10 liters per minute.

Do I need to refill my pet's Oxygen Concentrator?

No, you do not need to refill an Oxygen Concentrator. It constantly generates oxygen from the room air, so you never need to worry about running out of oxygen.

What maintenance is required for the Oxygen Concentrator?

These machines are very easy to use and require little maintenance. Other than the occasional wipe-down to remove excess dust and debris, there are two filters within the concentrator. The first filter you’ll see on the back is the pre-mesh filter. This can be removed and rinsed as needed with warm soapy water and allowed to dry completely before putting it back on the machine (much like your vacuum’s sponge filter). Behind the pre-mesh filter is the Box filter, which does not need to be replaced until you’ve reached 5,000 hours (the hour-meter is the small digital display on the side of the unit) or one year of steady use.

I’m not sure how long I’ll need the Oxygen Concentrator. Do you have rental options?

Yes we do! Our concentrators can be rented on a monthly basis or purchased outright. Our rental option is perfect for pets who may need a lot of oxygen but not for a long period of time, such as those recovering from pneumonia or other short-term illnesses, as well as pets who may have an uncertain prognosis.

Our PureVent 5L model can be rented for $250/month and the PureVent 10L model can be rented for $350/month. These units come with brand new oxygen tubing and a pre-paid return label for your convenience. Simply place the return label over the old one, drop off at your nearest UPS store, and we’ll take care of the rest!
