Venturi Oxygen Kit

$55.00

The Venturi Kit is included with every Buster ICU Oxygen Cage. It determines the oxygen level in the Cage by mixing room air with pure oxygen from the oxygen source. This process also multiplies the total airflow through the Cage, which helps to disperse carbon dioxide, heat, and humidity.

Frequently Asked Questions

My vet didn’t make a recommendation on my prescription. Which Venturi Adaptor is safest to use?

Most veterinarians recommend using the red 40% venturi adaptor. This is the most common oxygen level prescribed and is the safest starting point, if you are unsure.

How do these Venturi Adaptors work? What do they do?

The Venturi adaptors are designed with open slits on the side to pull in a very specific amount of room air. The room air mixes with the pure oxygen coming from the concentrator to create the desired oxygen concentration. Not only does this allow you to control the oxygen level inside of the cage, but it also greatly increases the total turnover to dispel unwanted carbon dioxide, heat, and humidity.

How do I assemble the T-piece and Venturi Adaptor?

The easiest way to assemble this is to take your T-piece and turn it sideways so that you have an opening on the top and bottom and one opening on the side ( ˧ ). Insert the side opening into the gray port on your oxygen cage, leaving the remaining openings on top and bottom. You can then put the red plug in the top of your T-piece and the large end of the venturi at the bottom.
